Doesn't hurt to try, but if you don't have people at home to help you finish min. order of $30 worth of vegetables, then include some sweet potatoes, etc. that can keep longer. Neighbours come in handy to share.
Do choose what vegetables/fruits instead of going for a "surprise" selection as you might get vegetables/fruits you're unfamiliar with and won't know how best to prepare/eat it. However, if you're adventurous, then by all means.
I feel it's not expensive for organic and delivered to your doorstep - good stuff and oh so convenient! Comes with less wasteful packaging too. You can pay online after delivery or at the end of the month. No major problems with insects hiding amongst the food, except 1 or 2 types of veggies tend to be eaten quite badly by insects. Extra care required for greens in washing and then storing as they wilt very quickly.
There's no one at home to collect the stuff, so it's delivered to my workplace on the allotted days for areas. If it's a huge bag, I take the perishables first and then the rest another day, or leave them in the office fridge if I'm going out. I keep several sizes of shopping bags at the office. I tried giving them my recycled bag (with name/address), but either not big enough or got lost
It's not easy to match bag to name and order, so I don't blame them.
Do give them your support and in turn, help the environment and your health
