Just alerting all, especially the ladies, to the face masks sold on the market. They are NOT vegan, not even vegetarian. Almost 100% of them include glycerin, which is an oily, viscous liquid, C3H5(OH)3, colorless and odorless, and with a hot, sweetish taste, existing in the natural fats and oils as the base, combined with various acids, as oleic, margaric, stearic, and palmitic. It may be obtained by saponification of ANIMAL or plant fats and oils.
I wring my hands with despair. There has been tv and even you tube education showing that glycerin used in cosmetics, masks, etc come from ANIMAL fats. Imagine, the animals not only are killed for their meat, their fats are even used to make cosmetics and face masks. Wonder if there are really 100% vegan face masks in the market and how do we get them? Any one has any info on this?
