The Heart Smart Oil Free Cookbook Now Available Online
What's the latest trend in vegetarian cuisine? Well, it's obviously oil-free dishes, and VSS, along with our friends at Healthfriend, are pleased to announce the release of The Heart Smart Oil Free Cookbook which includes scientific information on why foods high in oil damage the heart. Based on the groundbreaking research of Dr Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr of the world renowned Cleveland Clinic, the recipe book provides tested, detailed recipes by skilled chefs and global nutrition experts, and is also supported by the Singapore Heart Foundation. The recipes offered in this book enable you to eat right for your heart while enjoying a wide range of tasty dishes.

To aid in the easy distribution of the cookbook to the many interested members of the community who are keen to get a copy, we have made it available online through the link below for local orders at an attractive member price of $20. Those based internationally can still get a copy of the book through Amazon but it will cost slightly more depending on your location.

Next Step, Animal Abolitionism
How should we treat non-human animals? Is it enough not to cause them harm? In this episode of Philosophy Bites, Gary Francione, Distinguished Professor of Law at Rutgers School of Law-Newark, argues that we need to go one step further than Jeremy Bentham did and abolish all use of animals. He calls his approach abolitionism.

You can listen to the podcast at http://philosophybites.com/2012/10/gary-l-francione-on-animal-abolitionism.html
