EATING OUR WAY TO WORLD PEACE, by Rob Miller

EATING OUR WAY TO WORLD PEACE, by Rob Miller Peace and harmony. Everyone wants peace and harmony. Peace among nations. Peace among peoples. Peace within communities. Peace within the family. Peace with ourselves. Just say the word anywhere and it brings a smile and an affirmative nod. The need is recognized throughout the world. EVERYONE wants peace. Everyone WANTS Peace. Well, if everyone wants peace, why is it so elusive? If people across the globe truly desire peace, why is it absent or mostly absent from almost all our dealings and doings worldwide? Of course, everyone from modern day spiritual masters to religionists to armchair prophets has the answer: peace must start from within, stillness of the mind and unity with source. The answer is so well known it almost sounds trite. If everyone knows how, and everyone desires it, then WHERE IS THE PEACE? Why are we living in a world being destroyed by disharmony, disunity, violence and war? Because we are trying to construct our building of peace starting on the second floor. The foundation is barely recognized much less solidly constructed. How can one build a house of peace on a shaky or non-existent foundation? The foundation of peace is a vibrantly healthy, and internally calm body. But the path to a vibrantly healthy, and internally calm body has become just as absent and elusive as peace itself. Everyone almost everywhere in the world is willing to give health advice, often unasked for, and almost nobody has health! How many people do you know who live an easy, pain-free, disease-free life? How many people do you know who are not taking medication, pills, herbal remedies, vitamins, and are free from visits to the doctor, hospital or alternative healer? Do you know any? What about you? Almost every human being is suffering physically on a daily basis-headache, poor digestion, gastro-intestinal distress (gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, etc.), back pain, and much, much more. Most people are suffering and are either unaware of it, numb to it, or worse, accept it as normal. These problems may be exceedingly common, but they are not normal. Top It is almost impossible to attain mental and emotional calm when the body is in pain and discomfort, no matter how slight. Meditation and prayer are commonly practiced paths to mental stillness and unity with source, but it is pretty difficult to have mental stillness when the body is crying for help-belching, bowel gas, back pain, etcŠ It is like trying to practice meditation in a war zone. It is possible, but very, very difficult. Our bodily discomfort makes every effort and every interaction in life difficult and strained. Constipation is an excellent example. Think about how your body feels if you haven't had a good bowel movement for a day, or two, or three. And what is the state of your mind at those times? Also constipated-uneasy, grumpy, and lacking calm. How are your interactions with others at those times? What if you were the president of a country or CEO of a multinational corporation with your body and mind in such a condition, and you had to make decisions which affect millions of humans and the Earth? Pain on every level and to every degree affects our relationships with others. It is difficult to interact smoothly and harmoniously with others when we are feeling internally uncomfortable. No matter how much we try to disguise it, our discomfort will be felt, if only in the energy we give off. This is true for all interactions, whether between friends and family, or on the national or international level. The first and most important step toward global peace and harmony is a vibrantly healthy and calm physical body. Fortunately, everyone has access to the physical body. Anyone can heal, strengthen and calm their body if they desire to and get the proper information. Be aware, dietary and health information is super-abundant, and usually wrong. You may think that is a bold statement, but stop a minute and reflect. Does your doctor look super healthy, trim and fit? Is the person telling you to go to the health food store, or take this or that supplement vital, agile, and supple? Look at the results people are getting before you decide to follow their advice, even if you are paying them. The following suggestions and guidelines are based on Nature's Laws of Health. They are the basic principles of health and pain-free, calm life for all beings both human and non-human. Remember, animals in nature seldom if ever suffer from constipation and back pain, much less cancer, heart disease and diabetes. These guidelines are not what most people do, but do you really want to continue to get the results that most people get? Guidelines For Universal Peace and Harmony: 1. Transition to then eat a diet of 100% fresh, raw plant food (fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds). 2. Be vigorously active many hours each day (innercise, exercise, and any activity you enjoy). 3. Use the elements to your benefit. Get as much fresh pure water, air, sunshine, earth and ether on and in your body as you can. 4. Fast regularly. Whenever there is pain or illness, and to strengthen and calm the body, mind and emotions. 5. Have regular, easy bowel motions upon awakening and after each meal. Do 1 through 4 plus colonics and enemas as necessary until you achieve this. 6. Get sufficient repose, rest, and sleep. 7. Smile and laugh often. 8. Open your heart. Give love and happiness freely and without thought of return. 9. Make decisions and take actions based on needs rather than wants. 10. Understand that you are part of the world and not its master, then act accordingly. Points to bear in mind: … Do #1, be open and thoughtful, and the rest will fall into place. … Go slowly and at a pace you can handle, but get there. … Transition rather than taking the plunge, but get there. … Listen judiciously. Are those trying to dissuade you getting the results you want? Peace and harmony can only be a global reality once a critical mass of humans have reattained strong, healthy, calm bodies. Physical internal calm brings mental and emotional stillness. With mental and emotional calm all our actions and interactions can have fluidity and ease. New ways of thinking, doing and being will emerge which will allow all beings, both human and non-human, to live together beautifully, harmoniously, and peacefully. No gimmicks. No tricks. No magic or mysticism. No short-cuts. It all starts with a strong foundation. ©2002 Robert A.
